Excerpt from 3-Minute Prayers for Families
For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7 ESV
Dear God, sometimes I am afraid, especially at night when it is dark. The Bible promises me that I don’t have to be afraid. Fear is the opposite of faith and does not come from you. You have given me courage and faith to trust you will take care of me and keep me safe in everything that I do. In the darkness, you are with me. You watch over me as I sleep and are with me throughout my day. Thank you for always being there for me, for loving me and helping me to know that I don’t have to be afraid.
